Close alternatives at a glance

Close is a calling-first sales CRM from $9 a month for one user, with sequences from Growth at $99 per seat billed annually. The alternatives that fit teams who also prospect on LinkedIn and WhatsApp are Pipedrive (from €14), HubSpot (free for up to 2 users), Attio (free for up to 3 seats), Breakcold ($79.20 a month) and GTM Flow, in early access.

Transparency note. This comparison is written by the GTM Flow team, and GTM Flow is one of the options on the list. We have tried to be fair to every tool, Close included, and we say where it wins. Prices are the public ones on each vendor's official site, checked on October 23, 2026, before tax. Every source is linked at the end. If you only want Close against GTM Flow, read GTM Flow vs Close.

  • For a classic sales pipeline with sequences at a lower seat price: Pipedrive.
  • To start free with two users and grow into marketing and service: HubSpot.
  • To design your own objects and lists, free to start: Attio.
  • For one inbox across email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram, with outreach sent from another tool: Breakcold.
  • For prospecting by email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence, with AI that proposes and a person who approves: GTM Flow, in early access.

Where Close wins (and when you should stay)

Close wins on the phone, on maturity and on self-serve. Every plan makes and receives calls and texts, Growth adds a power dialer, Scale a predictive dialer and live call coaching, and you can start a 14-day trial today with no card. It has been building a sales CRM since 2013. No option on this list beats its dialer.

Close is the CRM many founders and inside sales teams pick when most of their selling happens on the phone. These are its plans today, from its pricing page:

Close planBilled annuallyBilled monthlyWhat it adds
Solo$9$19One user, up to 10,000 leads, calling, email and SMS, 500 AI credits
Essentials$35 per seat$49Unlimited leads, team inbox and task list, forms, 1,000 AI credits per seat
Growth$99 per seat$109Workflows (its sequences), bulk email, power dialer, 1,500 AI credits per seat
Scale$139 per seat$149Predictive dialer, live call coaching, access rules, 2,000 AI credits per seat
Close pricing page, checked on October 23, 2026. The page shows two prices per plan and says annual billing carries the discount. Calling and SMS are usage-based, passed through at cost: most outbound calls cost about $0.02 a minute and numbers start at about $1 a month.
  • Calling at volume. Built-in calling and SMS on every plan, power dialer from Growth, predictive dialer and live call coaching on Scale. If your reps make hundreds of dials a day, nothing else here does it the same way.
  • Self-serve today. A 14-day trial with no credit card, with $5 of calling and enrichment credits included.
  • A cheap one-seat CRM. Solo is $9 a month billed annually if you sell alone and do not need sequences.
  • Maturity. Close says it was founded in 2013 and that more than 11,500 businesses use it, with 4.7 on G2 from 2,000+ reviews.
  • Chloe, its AI teammate, which Close says can call and qualify leads, in English for now, plus an API on every plan.

If your buyers pick up the phone and answer emails, staying on Close is a sensible call. Our guide to CRMs with built-in calling explains what to look for when calls are the main channel.

Why teams that prospect on LinkedIn and WhatsApp look beyond Close

Teams look for a Close alternative when their buyers answer on LinkedIn and WhatsApp as often as by phone. Close's pricing page does not mention LinkedIn, two-way WhatsApp sync needs TimelinesAI as a separate subscription, sequences start at $99 per seat, and call minutes and extra AI credits sit on top of the seat.

  • No native LinkedIn. On October 23, 2026, Close's integrations page lists only third-party LinkedIn tools, each with its own subscription.
  • WhatsApp through a partner. Close adds a click-to-chat WhatsApp link on the lead; syncing messages both ways runs through TimelinesAI, billed separately.
  • Sequences cost almost three times Essentials. Workflows and bulk email start on Growth, at $99 per seat billed annually, against $35 for Essentials.
  • A metered bill. Minutes and texts are charged at cost on top of the seat, and AI runs on monthly credits that do not roll over.
  • Some of it is US-first. SMS in the US requires A2P 10DLC registration, and Chloe works in English only for now.

None of this makes Close a bad tool; it describes what Close is built for: email and the phone. A team that also prospects on LinkedIn and WhatsApp ends up paying for Close plus two more tools and copying replies by hand. If you are not sure which channels you need, our guide to B2B prospecting tools walks through each one.

How to choose a Close alternative

Before you pick a Close alternative, answer five questions: how many calls your team really makes a day, where your buyers reply, whether LinkedIn and WhatsApp must sit in the same sequence as email, which plan you will need once you automate follow-ups, and whether you have to buy this week or can wait for early access.

  1. Calls a day. Hundreds of dials point back to Close's power and predictive dialers. A few calls a day fit a CRM with simpler calling.
  2. Where buyers reply. If it is mainly email and phone, Pipedrive or HubSpot will do. If LinkedIn and WhatsApp matter, look at Breakcold and GTM Flow.
  3. One sequence or several tools. Breakcold puts every conversation in one inbox but sends outreach from elsewhere; GTM Flow runs all four channels in its own sequence.
  4. The real plan. Price the plan with sequences: Close Growth $99, Pipedrive Growth €39, Attio Pro €74 (email only), HubSpot Sales Hub Professional from $90 plus a $1,500 onboarding fee.
  5. Buy today or wait. Every option here is self-serve except GTM Flow, which is in early access.

breakcold.com

Founders who sell and B2B teams of 1 to 10 who prospect by email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and phone and want a single history per account.

GTM Flow is the AI CRM with prospecting built in, made by the team that wrote this page. Cold email, LinkedIn steps, WhatsApp and calls share the company and contact record and the same sequence. LinkedIn sits inside the CRM with per-profile limits, and its steps can be manual tasks instead. AI agents read every reply and every call and propose the next step; you approve it. You cannot buy it today: it is in early access.

  • Sequences across email, LinkedIn steps, WhatsApp and calls, on every plan.
  • WhatsApp on the record and as a sequence step, only for people who gave you their number and permission.

En contra

  • You cannot buy it today: early access opens in waitlist order.

A calling CRM or a CRM that prospects on every channel?

Close is excellent when the phone is the channel. For many B2B teams, buyers answer on LinkedIn and WhatsApp as often as on the phone, and then the question is not the dialer but whether every channel sits in one sequence and one history, so a reply anywhere stops the cadence and nothing gets copied by hand.

A team that keeps Close and adds a LinkedIn tool and a WhatsApp sync pays three bills and still checks three places. A multichannel outreach CRM puts those channels in one sequence. In GTM Flow, prospecting sequences and conversations on every channel share the record with the pipeline and call notes. Our WhatsApp CRM guide covers the rules for messaging people who gave you their number. GTM Flow is in early access, in waitlist order; the planned pricing is public, and our comparison page covers the other options.

Which Close alternative to choose, by use case

The right Close alternative depends on where your buyers answer. If they pick up the phone, stay on Close. For a classic pipeline with cheaper sequences, Pipedrive. To start free and grow into a suite, HubSpot. To design your own model, Attio. For one inbox with outreach sent elsewhere, Breakcold. For four channels in one sequence, GTM Flow.

  • Stay on Close if your team makes hundreds of calls a day, needs power or predictive dialers and SMS, or has to buy this week.
  • Pipedrive if a standard pipeline comes first and you want sequences at €39 per seat; see our Pipedrive alternatives.
  • HubSpot if you want to start free and expect to run marketing on the same platform; see our HubSpot alternatives.
  • Attio if you want to shape the CRM yourself and start free with 3 seats.
  • Breakcold if you already send outreach from another tool and want every LinkedIn and WhatsApp conversation on the right deal.
  • GTM Flow if you prospect by email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and calls and want them in one sequence. You cannot buy it today: join the GTM Flow waitlist and we will write to you in signup order.
