HubSpot pricing for startups and small teams (2026)
On October 23, 2026, HubSpot Sales Hub has a free plan for up to 2 users, Starter from $7 per seat a month (list price $20), Professional from $90 per seat plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise from $150 plus $3,500. For a startup the real question is when it has to leave Free and Starter: usually the day it needs email sequences.

HubSpot Sales Hub plans and prices in 2026
HubSpot sells Sales Hub in four editions. On October 23, 2026 its pricing page listed Free at $0 for up to 2 users, Starter from $7 per seat a month, Professional from $90 per seat and Enterprise from $150 per seat. Professional and Enterprise add a one-time onboarding fee of $1,500 and $3,500.
A note on transparency. This guide is written by the GTM Flow team, and GTM Flow competes with HubSpot. Every price and limit below comes from HubSpot's own pricing pages, product catalog and knowledge base, checked on October 23, 2026, and every source is linked at the end. Where HubSpot's pages did not say something, we say so instead of guessing.
| Edition | Price shown, per seat a month | List price per seat (catalog) | Onboarding | Seat type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, up to 2 users | — | None | — |
| Starter | From $7 | $20 (Core Seat) | None | Core Seat |
| Professional | From $90 | $100 (Sales Seat) | $1,500, required, one-time | Sales Seat |
| Enterprise | From $150 | $150 (Sales Seat) | $3,500, required, one-time | Sales Seat |
The two columns of prices need explaining. HubSpot's pricing page shows a “starts at” figure next to a higher one: $7 next to $20 on Starter and $90 next to $100 on Professional, with options to pay monthly, commit monthly or pay annually, but it does not label which figure belongs to which option. HubSpot's product catalog lists the Starter Core Seat at $20 a month and the Professional Sales Seat at $100. Its CRM pricing page also advertises “save up to 65% on Starter” for new customers on select offers for a limited time, and $7 is exactly 65% off $20. Our reading: $7 is a new-customer offer and $90 the annual-commitment price. Budget at list price unless HubSpot quotes you the lower one in writing.
View-only seats are free on every paid edition, so people who only need to look at reports do not cost anything. Each paid edition also comes with HubSpot Credits for AI features, 500 a month on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise; extra credits cost $0.010 each and unused ones do not roll over.
Is HubSpot free? What the free CRM really includes
Yes. HubSpot has a free plan with no time limit and no credit card, for up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts. It includes contact, deal and task management, deal pipelines, email tracking, meeting scheduling, live chat, forms, sales quotes and the Breeze Assistant. Emails and meeting links carry HubSpot branding.
HubSpot's free CRM is a real product, not a trial, and for a founder testing a sales process it is a sensible place to start. HubSpot describes it as “100% free with no expiration date”. This is what its CRM and pricing pages listed on October 23, 2026:
- Users: up to 2. A third person means a paid edition.
- Contacts: 1,000, plus 1,000 records across the other standard objects such as companies and deals.
- Sales tools: deal pipelines, email tracking with open notifications, email templates and scheduling, document sharing, meeting scheduling, live chat, a form builder and sales quotes.
- AI: the Breeze Assistant, which HubSpot says can research companies, prepare sales calls and summarize records. Its AI customer agent needs a paid edition.
- Limits that show: 3 email templates, 3 snippets and 1 meeting link per account, and HubSpot branding on one-to-one emails and meeting links.
What the free plan does not include matters more for a startup that prospects: no email sequences, no calling minutes in the pricing table, and no automation workflows. It is a good free CRM for organizing the deals you already have, not a free prospecting tool.
What forces a startup off Free and Starter
Five things usually push a small team up a plan: a third user, more than 1,000 contacts, removing HubSpot branding, real automation, and email sequences. The first four are solved by Starter. Sequences are not: HubSpot's knowledge base lists them only on Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, with an assigned Sales or Service seat.
| You need | Free | Starter | Professional |
|---|---|---|---|
| More than 2 users | No | Yes, per Core Seat | Yes, per Sales Seat |
| No HubSpot branding on email and meeting links | No | Yes | Yes |
| Email templates | 3 per account | Up to 10,000 | Up to 10,000 |
| Workflows | None | Up to 50, with restricted triggers and actions | Up to 300, fully customizable |
| Pipelines | Not stated on the pricing page | 15 per account | 100 per account |
| Calling minutes a month | Not listed | 500 | 3,000 |
| Email sequences | No | No | Yes, with a Sales Seat |
The jump that hurts is the last row. A team that books its own meetings sooner or later wants a sequence: an email, a reminder to call, a follow-up three days later. In HubSpot that means Sales Hub Professional, which takes the price per seat from $7 or $20 to $90 or $100 and adds the $1,500 onboarding fee. Each sequence can use up to 10 email templates, and HubSpot's pricing page lists up to 500 sequence emails per user per day on Professional.
Two channels need more than Sales Hub. LinkedIn steps in sequences work as tasks through HubSpot's Sales Navigator integration, so you also pay LinkedIn. And connecting WhatsApp to the conversations inbox requires Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise, according to HubSpot's knowledge base updated on October 20, 2026: Sales Hub alone, at any edition, is not enough.
What HubSpot costs for 1, 3 and 5 seats
Paying for a full year, Starter costs $84 per seat at the $7 offer or $240 at the $20 list price. Professional costs $1,080 per seat at $90, plus $1,500 onboarding in the first year: $2,580 for one seat, $4,740 for three and $6,900 for five. From year two the onboarding fee disappears.
| Edition | 1 seat, first year | 3 seats, first year | 5 seats, first year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not possible (2 users max) | Not possible (2 users max) |
| Starter at $7 | $84 | $252 | $420 |
| Starter at $20 list | $240 | $720 | $1,200 |
| Professional at $90 + onboarding | $2,580 | $4,740 | $6,900 |
| Professional at $100 list + onboarding | $2,700 | $5,100 | $7,500 |
| Enterprise at $150 + onboarding | $5,300 | $8,900 | $12,500 |
Read the table from the row you will actually need in six months, not the one you start on. A three-person team on Starter pays a few hundred dollars a year; the same team on Professional pays $4,740 in the first year and $3,240 every year after, at the $90 price. The onboarding fee weighs most on small teams: for one seat it is more than a whole year of the licence.
The HubSpot for Startups discount
HubSpot for Startups gives funded startups 90% off the first year, 50% off the second and 25% off the third. It applies only to net-new Professional or Enterprise products, and only to startups that raised Pre-seed, Seed or Series A funding and are affiliated with an approved partner or have verified venture funding.
| Year | Discount | Professional, 3 seats at $90 | Without the program |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | 90% | $324 + onboarding | $3,240 + $1,500 onboarding |
| Year 2 | 50% | $1,620 | $3,240 |
| Year 3 | 25% | $2,430 | $3,240 |
| Year 4 | None | $3,240 | $3,240 |
If your startup qualifies, the program changes the decision: Professional with sequences costs less than Starter at list price in the first year. Two cautions. The discount ends, so plan for full price in year four, when switching CRM is harder. And the price goes back up exactly when the team grows, because every new rep is another Sales Seat. Ask HubSpot for a written quote that includes onboarding before you commit.
Which HubSpot plan a startup should choose
Stay on Free while you are one or two people organizing deals by hand. Move to Starter when you need a third user, more than 1,000 contacts or no branding. Go to Professional only when sequences or real automation pay for themselves, ideally with the startup discount. Enterprise rarely makes sense below ten seats.
- How many people will use it in six months? Two or fewer can stay on Free. Three or more need Starter at least.
- Will you send email sequences? If yes, the real comparison is Professional at $90 to $100 per seat plus $1,500, not Starter.
- Do you qualify for HubSpot for Startups? If you raised Pre-seed to Series A through an approved partner, price Professional with the discount, and again without it for year four.
- Do your buyers answer on LinkedIn or WhatsApp? Add Sales Navigator for LinkedIn tasks, and Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional for the WhatsApp inbox.
- Do you run marketing too? HubSpot's strength is one database for marketing, sales and service. If you only sell, you may be paying for a platform you will not use.
When the price is not the real problem
For many small B2B teams the issue is not HubSpot's price list but what sits around it: Professional for sequences, Sales Navigator for LinkedIn, another Hub for WhatsApp, and often a separate cold email tool. If that stack is what you are pricing, compare CRMs that include those channels instead.
HubSpot is a strong platform, and its free CRM is one of the best ways to start organizing a pipeline. If you are pricing it because the jump to Professional does not fit your budget, our guide to HubSpot alternatives for startups compares the options with their prices, Pipedrive vs HubSpot covers the most common head-to-head, Pipedrive pricing breaks down the other usual candidate, and what HubSpot, Instantly and HeyReach cost together adds up the usual prospecting stack.
GTM Flow is a CRM with the prospecting inside. One cadence can send email from your own mailboxes, add LinkedIn steps with per-profile limits or as manual tasks, send WhatsApp messages to people who gave you their number and permission, and schedule calls made from the browser with recording, transcription and automatic notes. AI agents propose the next step on every reply and a person approves it. See how prospecting works.
What GTM Flow does not do, so you can rule it out quickly: it is in early access, opened in waitlist order, so you cannot buy it today. Unlike HubSpot, it has no no-cost plan, and it has no HubSpot importer (only CSV), no public API for customers and no Microsoft 365 integration. Planned prices are Solo €39, Team €69 and Scale €149 per seat a month billed annually; see pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Is HubSpot free?
Yes, HubSpot has a free CRM with no time limit and no credit card required, for up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts. On October 23, 2026 it included deal pipelines, email tracking, meeting scheduling, live chat, forms, quotes and the Breeze Assistant. It does not include email sequences, and emails and meeting links carry HubSpot branding.
How much does HubSpot cost for a small business?
On October 23, 2026, Sales Hub Starter started at $7 per seat a month on hubspot.com, with a list price of $20 per Core Seat in HubSpot's catalog. Professional started at $90 per seat, $100 at list price, plus a required one-time onboarding fee of $1,500. For three seats on Professional at $90, that is $4,740 in the first year.
Does HubSpot Starter include sequences?
No. HubSpot's knowledge base, last updated on August 17, 2026, lists sequences on Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, and each user needs an assigned Sales or Service seat. Starter uses Core Seats, so a team that needs sequences has to move to Professional.
What is the HubSpot onboarding fee?
It is a required, one-time fee that HubSpot's pricing page excludes from the price per seat: $1,500 for Sales Hub Professional and $3,500 for Enterprise, as checked on October 23, 2026. Free and Starter have no onboarding fee. The HubSpot for Startups page does not say whether its discount covers onboarding.
How much is HubSpot for Startups?
HubSpot for Startups gives 90% off the first year, 50% off the second and 25% off the third on net-new Professional or Enterprise products. It is for startups that raised Pre-seed, Seed or Series A, not Series B or later, and are affiliated with an approved partner or have verified venture funding. Three Professional seats at $90 would cost $324 in year one, plus onboarding.
Is HubSpot worth it for a startup?
The free CRM is worth it for one or two founders organizing deals. Starter is cheap for a small team that does not need sequences. Professional is worth it if sequences and automation will pay for themselves, or if the startup discount applies. If you prospect on LinkedIn and WhatsApp as much as email, add the cost of Sales Navigator and another Hub before deciding.
