Pipedrive vs Attio for small B2B teams (2026)

For a small B2B team, Pipedrive is the better choice if you want a ready-made sales pipeline and email sequences at a fair price: Growth costs €39 per seat a month billed annually. Attio is the better choice if you want to start on a free plan, design your own data model or plug in an API and MCP server, but its sequences start on Pro at €74. Neither puts LinkedIn and WhatsApp in the sequence.

Pipedrive vs Attio at a glance

Pipedrive is a pipeline-first sales CRM: four paid plans from €14 to €79 per seat a month billed annually, with email sequences from Growth at €39. Attio is a flexible CRM where you shape objects and workflows yourself: a free plan for up to 3 seats, Plus at €31 and sequences on Pro at €74 per seat billed annually.

A note on transparency. This comparison is written by the GTM Flow team. GTM Flow is neither of the two products compared here, but it competes with both, so read it knowing that. Everything we say about Pipedrive and Attio comes from their own pricing pages and help centers, checked on October 23, 2026, and every source is linked at the end. Where a vendor's page did not say something, we say so instead of guessing.

Pipedrive vs Attio pricing for a team of five

For five reps on the cheapest plan with sequences, Pipedrive Growth costs €2,340 a year and Attio Pro €4,440 a year, both billed annually. Without sequences the order flips: Attio Free costs nothing for up to 3 seats, and Attio Plus costs €1,860 a year for five seats against €840 for Pipedrive Lite.

PlanPer seat a month (annual)5 reps, one yearSequences?
Pipedrive Lite€14€840No
Pipedrive Growth€39€2,340Yes, email and tasks
Pipedrive Premium€59€3,540Yes, plus AI email tools
Attio Free€0 (up to 3 seats)€0, but only 3 seatsNo
Attio Plus€31€1,860No
Attio Pro€74€4,440Yes, email steps, plus call recording
Our own arithmetic: price per seat a month × 5 × 12 months, excluding tax, billed annually. Prices checked on October 23, 2026. Pipedrive's pricing page showed annual prices only that day; Attio's showed both, and Plus and Pro cost 20% more billed monthly (€39 and €93).

The headline prices hide the step that matters. Attio is cheaper than Pipedrive as long as you only need a CRM: its Free plan is a real starting point for a founder or a team of three, and Plus undercuts Pipedrive Growth by €8 per seat. The moment you want sequences, Attio jumps to Pro at €74, almost twice Pipedrive Growth.

Each CRM also charges for different extras. Attio's AI features and workflows draw from monthly credits per seat and per workspace (for example 1,000 per seat and 10,000 per workspace on Pro), and it sells extra packs if you run out. Neither includes telephony: Pipedrive users add a Marketplace app such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall, and Attio users install Aircall or RingCentral, each with its own subscription. WhatsApp through Meta's business platform is billed per delivered message either way.

Where Pipedrive is the better choice

Pipedrive wins for a small team that sells through a classic pipeline and wants email sequences without paying for a premium tier. Sequences start on Growth at €39 per seat, the model is ready on day one, and the visual deal board is easy for reps to keep updated. It is weaker on built-in calling and flexibility.

  • Sequences at half the price. On October 23, 2026, Pipedrive's help center lists sequences on Growth and higher, with email steps that send automatically or as drafts and task steps for calls, meetings or visits, up to 15 steps and 500 deals or leads per sequence. Sequences also have task steps, which Attio's sequence pages do not describe.
  • Nothing to design. Deals, leads, people and organizations come ready, and the pipeline is the product. Attio asks someone to decide which objects, attributes and lists the CRM should have.
  • The pipeline reps actually use. For a team of two to ten people who need one shared view of every deal, Pipedrive's focus on the deal board is the reason to pick it.
  • A large Marketplace. More than 500 integrations, including the calling apps that fill its biggest gap.

Where Pipedrive falls short: its own help center says it 'doesn't have a built-in calling integration', there is no free plan, LinkedIn is not a sequence step and its WhatsApp integration was still in beta on October 23, 2026. If you want more options in the same price range, see our Pipedrive alternatives.

Where Attio is the better choice

Attio wins if you want to start without paying, if your sales motion does not fit a standard pipeline and you need custom objects, or if you want your CRM data reachable by an API and AI tools through a hosted MCP server. It gets expensive once you need sequences, which start on Pro at €74 per seat.

  • A real free plan. Up to 3 seats, 3 objects and 50,000 records at no cost, plus a 14-day trial of Pro. Pipedrive only offers a 14-day trial.
  • A data model you design. Custom objects (up to 12 on Pro, unlimited on Enterprise), custom attributes, lists and workflows. That matters for motions such as partnerships, investor relations or a two-sided marketplace.
  • API and MCP. Attio gives API access on every plan and runs a hosted MCP server, so AI assistants can search and update records.
  • Video meeting recording. On Pro, a recorder joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls and returns transcripts and AI summaries.

Where Attio falls short for a small team: sequences need Pro and are made of email steps only, each synced mailbox sends at most 12 emails an hour and 200 a day, and phone calls and WhatsApp come from separate apps. If Attio's price or model is the problem, see our Attio alternatives, or our head-to-head GTM Flow vs Attio.

When neither Pipedrive nor Attio fits

Neither fits well if your team prospects on email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and phone at once and wants all four in one sequence on the same record. Pipedrive needs a calling app and a LinkedIn extension; Attio needs Pro, a telephony app and TimelinesAI for WhatsApp. That is the gap GTM Flow is built for.

Both are good CRMs; the mismatch is the channel mix. A founder or a team of a few reps selling B2B often books meetings from a LinkedIn conversation, confirms by WhatsApp and closes on a call. In Pipedrive, that means an extra calling app and a LinkedIn extension. In Attio, it means Pro for sequences, Aircall or RingCentral for calls and the TimelinesAI app for WhatsApp, with LinkedIn left outside the sequence.

GTM Flow is a CRM with the prospecting inside. One cadence can send email from your own mailboxes, add LinkedIn steps with per-profile limits or as manual tasks, send WhatsApp messages to people who gave you their number and permission, and schedule calls made from the browser with recording, transcription and automatic notes. AI agents propose the next step on every reply and a person approves it. See how prospecting works and how deals close.

What GTM Flow does not do, so you can rule it out quickly: it is in early access, opened in waitlist order, so you cannot buy it today. It has no free plan, no custom objects, no public API or MCP server for customers and no Microsoft 365 integration. Planned prices are Solo €39, Team €69 and Scale €149 per seat a month billed annually; see pricing.

How to choose between Pipedrive and Attio

Choose Pipedrive if you want email sequences on a small budget and a ready-made pipeline your reps will update. Choose Attio if you want to start free, need custom objects, or want an API and MCP server on your CRM data. If you need LinkedIn, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence, look beyond both.

  1. Do you need sequences in the next six months? If yes, compare Pipedrive Growth at €39 with Attio Pro at €74 per seat. For most small teams, that settles it in favor of Pipedrive.
  2. Do you want to start without paying? If yes, and you are up to three people, Attio's free plan is the only option of the two.
  3. Does your sales motion fit a standard pipeline? If yes, Pipedrive is ready on day one. If you track unusual objects or relationships, Attio's model will fit better.
  4. Do AI tools or your own code need to reach the CRM? Attio's API on every plan and hosted MCP server point to Attio.
  5. Do your buyers answer on LinkedIn or WhatsApp? If most conversations happen there, neither is built around those channels; see the section on when neither fits, above.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pipedrive cheaper than Attio?

It depends on the plan you need. On October 23, 2026, Attio Free costs nothing for up to 3 seats and Attio Plus costs €31 per seat a month billed annually, so Attio is cheaper without sequences. With sequences, Pipedrive Growth costs €39 per seat billed annually while Attio Pro costs €74, so Pipedrive is almost half the price.

Does Attio have email sequences like Pipedrive?

Yes, but only on Pro and Enterprise, according to Attio's help center on October 23, 2026. Attio sequences are email steps and waits sent from your synced Gmail or Microsoft mailbox, capped at 12 emails an hour and 200 a day per mailbox. Pipedrive sequences start on Growth and add task steps for calls, meetings and visits.

Can you make phone calls from Pipedrive or Attio?

Only through apps. Pipedrive's help center says it does not have a built-in calling integration, so you add a Marketplace app such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall or call from your phone. Attio offers Aircall and RingCentral apps and partner apps such as Ringover and JustCall; its own recorder on Pro covers Zoom, Meet and Teams meetings.

Which is better for a startup, Pipedrive or Attio?

For a startup of up to three people still finding its sales process, Attio's free plan and flexible model are the easier start. For a startup with a few reps that needs email sequences now, Pipedrive Growth costs about half of Attio Pro. If the startup prospects on LinkedIn and WhatsApp as much as email, a CRM with those channels in the sequence fits better.

Can Pipedrive or Attio send WhatsApp messages?

Both can, with conditions. Pipedrive's WhatsApp integration is available from Growth but was still a beta feature on October 23, 2026. Attio connects WhatsApp through the TimelinesAI partner app in its App Store, which you pay for separately. In both cases Meta bills the business per delivered message, and neither makes WhatsApp a sequence step.

Is GTM Flow an alternative to Pipedrive and Attio?

Yes, for small B2B teams that prospect on several channels. GTM Flow is a CRM with email, LinkedIn steps, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence and AI that proposes the next step for a person to approve. It is in early access, with planned prices from €39 per seat a month, and it has no custom objects, public API or MCP server yet.
