Pipedrive vs HubSpot for small B2B teams (2026)
For a small B2B team, Pipedrive is the better choice if you want a clear pipeline and email sequences at a fair price: Growth costs €39 per seat a month billed annually. HubSpot is the better choice if you want to start on a free plan or already run marketing on HubSpot, but its sequences start on Professional at $90 per seat plus onboarding. Neither puts LinkedIn and WhatsApp prospecting in one sequence.

Pipedrive vs HubSpot at a glance
Pipedrive is a pipeline-first sales CRM: four paid plans from €14 to €79 per seat a month billed annually, with email sequences from Growth at €39. HubSpot Sales Hub has a free plan for up to 2 users and Starter from $7 per seat, but sequences need Professional at $90 per seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee.
A note on transparency. This comparison is written by the GTM Flow team. GTM Flow is neither of the two products compared here, but it competes with both, so read it knowing that. Everything we say about Pipedrive and HubSpot comes from their own pricing pages and help centers, checked on October 23, 2026, and every source is linked at the end. Where a vendor's page was unclear, we say so instead of guessing.

Pipedrive vs HubSpot pricing for a team of five
For five reps on the cheapest plan with sequences, Pipedrive Growth costs €2,340 a year billed annually and HubSpot Sales Hub Professional costs $6,900 in the first year, onboarding included. Without sequences, HubSpot Starter is the cheapest paid option at $420 a year for five seats, against €840 for Pipedrive Lite.
| Plan | Per seat a month | 5 reps, first year | Sequences? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipedrive Lite | €14 | €840 | No |
| Pipedrive Growth | €39 | €2,340 | Yes, email and tasks |
| Pipedrive Premium | €59 | €3,540 | Yes, plus lead scoring, enrichment and AI email writing |
| HubSpot Free | $0 (up to 2 users) | $0, but only 2 users | No |
| HubSpot Starter | From $7 | $420 | No |
| HubSpot Professional | From $90 | $6,900 (including $1,500 onboarding) | Yes |
The headline prices hide two things. First, HubSpot's jump from Starter to Professional is the steepest step in either price list: from $7 to $90 per seat, plus a one-time onboarding fee. That is the step most small teams hit as soon as they want sequences. Pipedrive's equivalent step, from Lite to Growth, is €25 per seat with no fee.
Second, each CRM charges for different extras. HubSpot includes calling minutes and a monthly pool of HubSpot Credits for AI features (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, with extra credits at $0.010 each). Pipedrive does not include calling at all: you add a Marketplace app such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall, each with its own subscription, or call from your phone and pay your usual phone bill. WhatsApp through Meta's business platform is billed per delivered message on either side.
Where Pipedrive is the better choice
Pipedrive wins for a small team that sells through a pipeline and wants email sequences without enterprise pricing. Sequences start on Growth at €39 per seat a month, there is no onboarding fee, and the visual pipeline is easy for reps to keep updated. It is weaker on built-in calling and marketing.
- Sequences at a fair price. On October 23, 2026, Pipedrive's help center lists sequences on Growth and higher, with email steps that send automatically or as drafts and task steps for calls, meetings or visits, up to 15 steps and 500 deals or leads per sequence.
- No onboarding fee and a simple price list. Four plans from €14 to €79, each including the one below it, and a 14-day trial without a card.
- The pipeline reps actually use. Pipedrive's whole product is built around the deal board. For a team of two to ten people who need one shared view of every deal, that focus is the reason to pick it.
- A large Marketplace. More than 500 integrations, including the calling apps that fill its biggest gap.
Where Pipedrive falls short: its own help center says it 'doesn't have a built-in calling integration', LinkedIn is not a sequence step, and its WhatsApp integration was still in beta on October 23, 2026. If you want more options in the same price range, see our Pipedrive alternatives.
Where HubSpot is the better choice
HubSpot wins if you want to start without paying, if marketing and sales must share one database, or if you need built-in calling on a cheap plan. Its free plan covers up to 2 users and Starter includes 500 calling minutes. It gets expensive once you need sequences, which start on Professional.
- A real free plan. Up to 2 users with no card, which no Pipedrive plan offers. For a founder testing whether they need a CRM at all, that matters.
- One platform for marketing, sales and service. If your website forms, newsletters and support tickets already live in HubSpot, the CRM is the same database, with no sync to maintain.
- Calling included. Starter includes 500 calling minutes and one phone number; Professional, 3,000 minutes and three numbers.
- LinkedIn tasks in sequences. HubSpot's help center describes LinkedIn task steps (connection requests and InMail reminders) through its Sales Navigator integration, on Professional and Enterprise.
Where HubSpot falls short for a small team: sequences need Professional, so the cheap entry price does not last long, and connecting WhatsApp to the inbox needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional, not Sales Hub. If HubSpot's price is the problem, see our HubSpot alternatives for startups.
When neither Pipedrive nor HubSpot fits
Neither fits well if your team prospects on email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and phone at once and wants all four in one sequence on the same record. Pipedrive needs a calling app and a LinkedIn extension; HubSpot needs Professional, Sales Navigator and another Hub for WhatsApp. That is the gap GTM Flow is built for.
Both are good CRMs; the mismatch is the channel mix. A founder or a team of a few reps selling B2B often books meetings from a LinkedIn conversation, confirms by WhatsApp and closes on a call. In Pipedrive, that means an extra calling app and a LinkedIn extension. In HubSpot, it means Sales Hub Professional, Sales Navigator for LinkedIn tasks and Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional for the WhatsApp inbox.
GTM Flow is a CRM with the prospecting inside. One cadence can send email from your own mailboxes, add LinkedIn steps with per-profile limits or as manual tasks, send WhatsApp messages to people who gave you their number and permission, and schedule calls made from the browser with recording, transcription and automatic notes. AI agents propose the next step on every reply and a person approves it. See how prospecting works and how deals close.
What GTM Flow does not do, so you can rule it out quickly: it is in early access, opened in waitlist order, so you cannot buy it today. It has no free plan, no public API, no Microsoft 365 integration and no HubSpot importer (contacts come in by CSV). Planned prices are Solo €39, Team €69 and Scale €149 per seat a month billed annually; see pricing. If you sell mainly by phone, Close is also worth a look; we compare it in CRM for small sales teams.
How to choose between Pipedrive and HubSpot
Choose Pipedrive if you want email sequences on a small budget and a pipeline your reps will update. Choose HubSpot if you want to start free, need built-in calling on a cheap plan, or already run marketing there. If you need LinkedIn, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence, look beyond both.
- Do you need sequences in the next six months? If yes, compare Pipedrive Growth at €39 with HubSpot Professional at $90 plus $1,500 onboarding. For most small teams, that settles it in favor of Pipedrive.
- Do you want to start without paying? If yes, and you are one or two people, HubSpot's free plan is the only option of the two.
- Is marketing already in HubSpot? If your forms and email marketing live there, staying in one database is usually worth the higher sales price.
- Do you call a lot? HubSpot includes minutes from Starter; with Pipedrive, budget for a calling app.
- Do your buyers answer on LinkedIn or WhatsApp? If most conversations happen there, neither is built around those channels; see the section on when neither fits, above.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pipedrive cheaper than HubSpot?
It depends on the plan you need. On October 23, 2026, HubSpot Starter starts at $7 per seat a month against €14 for Pipedrive Lite, so HubSpot is cheaper without sequences. With sequences, Pipedrive Growth costs €39 per seat billed annually while HubSpot Sales Hub Professional starts at $90 per seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee, so Pipedrive is much cheaper.
Does HubSpot Starter include sequences?
According to HubSpot's knowledge base on October 23, 2026, sequences are available with Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, and each user needs an assigned Sales or Service seat. HubSpot's pricing table was not clear about Starter that day, so check with HubSpot before buying Starter for sequences.
Does Pipedrive have built-in calling?
No. Pipedrive's help center says it does not have a built-in calling integration. You can install a Marketplace calling app such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall, or call from Pipedrive's mobile app or start a call on the web and continue it on your phone, charged to your usual phone bill. HubSpot includes 500 calling minutes on Starter.
Which is better for a startup, Pipedrive or HubSpot?
For a startup with one or two people testing a sales process, HubSpot's free plan is the easiest start. For a startup with a few reps that needs email sequences now, Pipedrive Growth costs less than half of HubSpot Professional in the first year. If the startup prospects on LinkedIn and WhatsApp as much as email, a CRM with those channels in the sequence fits better.
Can Pipedrive or HubSpot send WhatsApp messages?
Both can, with conditions. Pipedrive's WhatsApp integration is available from Growth but was still a beta feature on October 23, 2026. HubSpot connects WhatsApp to the conversations inbox only with Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise; Sales Hub alone is not enough. In both cases Meta bills the business per delivered message.
Is GTM Flow an alternative to Pipedrive and HubSpot?
Yes, for small B2B teams that prospect on several channels. GTM Flow is a CRM with email, LinkedIn steps, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence and AI that proposes the next step for a person to approve. It is in early access, with planned prices from €39 per seat a month, and it has no public API or HubSpot importer yet.
